    Kelly Meyering, Psy.D.

My name is Dr. Kelly Meyering and I am a clinical psychologist based out of New York City, licensed in New York and Connecticut, and able to practice telehealth in all PSYPACT participating states. I founded Riverside Psychology because I don’t believe anyone should have to be alone with their pain. At Riverside Psychology, you can expect a warm and supportive atmosphere, where you will never be judged and always leave feeling like you learned something new.

I began my training at Georgetown University, where I graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology. I earned my Master’s of Arts (M.A.) and Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) at Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I finished my APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Brooklyn VA Hospital and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CCDBT).

I specialize in providing evidence-based treatments for a range of psychological issues; including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I draw flexibly from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and evidence-based treatments for trauma. In addition to working at Riverside Psychology, I am an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where I train current doctoral students in the adult clinical CBT program.

    Professional Affiliations:

    Copley

Copley earned his American Kennel Club (AKC) S.T.A.R. puppy certification at the Union Square Petco. He has repeatedly failed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test because he can’t sit still when people give him attention.

Though he is not a certified therapy dog, he will provide emotional support services via telehealth to any patient who requests them. He enjoys belly rubs, licking faces, and whatever you’re eating. To schedule your initial session with Copley, contact us today.

NOTE: Copley is not a certified service animal or therapy dog. Therefore, he does not attend in-person sessions. He will, however, happily say hello during virtual, telehealth sessions.
